Tamil Nadu Tourist Places and Travel Attractions

Tamil Nadu is relatively uninfluenced by foreign invaders, with much of ancient India survives in its purest form – in its customs, in its towering temple architecture, in its dances and costumes. Here life is more leisurely and more traditional. Magnificently sculptured temples, rich woven silks, colorful festivals, cool hill stations and wide beaches are some of its attractions.

It is a land steeped in tradition, situated on the south eastern side of the India peninsula. Ancient cultural and heritage come alive in truth from here. It is a traditional state known for its dance and music. Tamil Nadu is also known for its fabulous bird sanctuary of Vedan thagal; the Pallava cave temple; the hill resorts of Yeraud, Coonoor and Kotagiri; the Mudumali Wildlife Sanctuary in the Nilgiris; the spectacular jellikattu- the local bull fight; the car pageants of Sriranggam, Thriuvarur and Kanchipuram; the flotating festivals at Madurai, Triplicane and Chennai; the celebration of Pongal and Navaratri festivals.
