Jharkhand Tourist Places and Travel Attractions

Jharkhand is the newly formed 28th state of the Indian union. It was carved out of Bihar on 15th nov. 2000. It is bounded by Bihar in the north, Chhattisgarh in the west, West Bengal in the east and Orissa in south. The state stands at the top most position in terms of mineral production in the country. Industries based on iron ore, coals etc. are spread around Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Bokaro and Dhanbad.

For the development of the tribal region, Bihar government signed an agreement with the center on 26th Sept. 1994 to set up a ‘General council’ for the 18 districts falling in the Jharkhand state to the centre in 1997. Blissfully remote and uniquely beautiful, the tranquil environs of Jharkhand offer an ideal escape from the restrictions of civilization. It is still the place of bygone days tempered with monuments of serenity, good will and charm that makes it impossible not to be seduced by its beauty and climate.
